Joe graduated from Leeds University in 1988 and became principal of the practice in 1992. In 1997, he was responsible for the relocation, new design and construction of the current premises. Joe has treated generations of many families and is a well respected member of the community. He is a well experienced practitioner in all aspects of dentistry with an interest in politics and currently holds position as the chair of the Local Dental Committee.
In his spare time, Joe enjoys bike riding and is an avid golfer. He is a supporter of Leeds United Football Club. Joe also has two lovely daughters who he enjoys cooking for on the weekends.
Alistair graduated from the University of Hull in 2014 with a masters in biomedical science and following a 3-year stint working as a biomedical scientist he decided to turn his hand to dentistry. He graduated from the University of Leeds in 2022 with a master of dental surgery with a distinction. Alistair has a patient-centred approach, enjoys developing good relationships with patients and involving them in all treatment decisions is a key philosophy of his. He takes great joy from seeing the impact he can have on somebody’s confidence following a course of treatment. Alistair offers a range of private treatments such as teeth whitening, teeth straightening, crowns, bridges, and restorations, alongside NHS treatments.
In his free time you can find him playing golf (terribly), snowboarding, attend live concerts (mostly rock and metal) and spending time with his springer spaniel, Millie.
Hannah qualified from Leeds University in 2023 and completed her foundation year in Sheffield before joining St Michael’s dental practice in 2024.
Hannah is interested in all aspects of dentistry. She particularly enjoys endodontic treatment and working with children to help them maintain their oral health.
In her spare time, she enjoys going for a run, travelling and spending time with family and friends.
Dr Zainab graduated from Newcastle University with a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery.
She has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry and smile makeovers, with a minimally invasive approach. She is an Invisalign provider and is currently completing a post graduate diploma in Clear Aligner Therapy. She has also completed many Enlighten whitening cases with fantastic results. Zainab aims to create ethical, beautiful smile makeovers that are long lasting, whilst working in her patient’s best interests.
Dr Zainab has a calm and friendly persona, which is well received by her patients who can often be quite anxious about visiting the dentist. Outside of work Zainab enjoys travelling around the world, going to the gym and spending time with family and friends.

Ista qualified at the university of Leeds in 2001 and has a great wealth of experience in general dental practice.
In 2008 she was awarded membership of the joint Dental Faculty by the Royal College of surgeons (uk)
Ista is a very thorough clinician and is known for both her gentle and warm approach with patients. She also has invaluable experience in managing anxious adults and children to ease them into the dental environment and make them feel as comfortable as possible throughout their time at the dental surgery.
Outside work Ista has an interest in gardening and loves spending time with her family. she also loves traveling and exploring new places.

Nicola graduated from The University of Leeds in 2008 as a Dental Therapist and Dental Hygienist. She trained and worked as a Dental Nurse from 2003 before embarking on university.
She enjoys working with patients to help improve their Oral Health.
In her spare time she loves to spend time with her daughters, roller skate and go see live music.
