Our aligners don’t require tightening, no changing of wires, have no elastic bands to get in the way. Each aligner is carefully designed specifically for your teeth and moves them in small stages, little by little, week by week, until they have reached the final position prescribed by your dentist. Invisalign aligners are a comfortable alternative to traditional fixed braces.
If you choose to go ahead with Invisalign® treatment you will be given a series of clear and removeable aligners, that you’ll change yourself every week to achieve a straighter smile. For some people it can take as little as six months, making it an ideal solution if you’re looking for quick results. They’re also a great alternative to traditional fixed braces.
Traditional fixed braces are made up of metal, plastic or ceramic brackets which are attached to each of your teeth and joined by a wire. Whilst fixed braces are effective, many people don’t like the look of them. Invisalign® won’t compromise your appearance during treatment, as they’re almost invisible and can be removed for eating and cleaning your teeth.
We use 3D digital scanners to plan your treatment and create your clear aligners. There is no tightening to be done and no changing of wires. Instead, all of the adjustments are made with one new aligner each week. As each aligner is individually moulded, Invisalign® can be more comfortable than conventional braces.
Invisalign® is a complete cosmetic orthodontic procedure. The first stage is to straighten your teeth with the set of clear aligners. Once this has been completed, you might choose to have your teeth whitened and reshaped to perfect your smile. After treatment has finished you will also be given a set of retainers (removable and/or fixed) to maintain your new smile.
The time needed for Invisalign® to work its magic can vary depending on your individual needs and the complexity of your treatment. This means the cost of treatment will vary too, depending on how many aligners you will need. At your initial consultation, your orthodontist will advise you on how long your treatment plan will take.
